About Retirement Planning
Retirement planning must change. The current approach to retirement planning is neither, financially accurate, nor environmentally sustainable. It will lead to disastrous consequences, not only for our planet, but possibly your retirement as well. The retirement industry calculates your retirement on the assumption that you wish to remain hyper consumers. To plan your retirement, they use a set of arbitrary numbers based on this one assumption, in essence - guessing.

In fact, the retirement industry, is not particularly interested in your retirement. Their interest lies primarily in selling you investments, and collecting fees and commissions, under the guise of retirement planning. 401k's and IRA's, are not a retirement plan, they are investments. Many people claiming to be "Retirement Planners", are in reality nothing more than investment sales people, who make their living by charging you commissions.
A retirement plan should answer the following questions: When can I retire? How much savings do I need for retirement? How much can I safely spend in retirement?
If those basic retirement planning questions aren't answered, and most importantly answered correctly, then you are being sold either an investment or an "educated" guess.

About the Founder
iPlan Retirement was founded by Ramsay Mameesh. Mr. Mameesh received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University with degrees in Marketing and Economics. Upon graduation, Mr. Mameesh spent over 10 years working for financial institutions, both in leading community and international banks.
Following his tenure in banking Mr. Mameesh started a successful hotel in Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica, Ramsay came face to face with not only our global environmental challenges, but also many fellow Americans who were seeking a safe and affordable retirement.
Drawing on his experience in banking and finance, as well as his own interest in retirement, Mr. Mameesh set about developing a new approach to retirement planning. One that would not only respect nature, but also enable people to retire earlier with less savings, and one that would ensure a safe and secure retirement.
