A couple of weeks ago, I put out the Green Retirement press release, it posed the question: “What impact will global warming have upon those about to retire?” The answer arrived quickly. Today, comes the announcement of an effort by top scientists, to get the International Commission on Stratigraphy to officially name a new epoch. If they are successful, people about to retire and everyone else, will be living in a new geological epoch - the Anthropocene Epoch. Two hundred years of humanities consumption based economics, and lifestyle, has forced the earth into a new epoch. Goodbye 10,000 year old Halocene Epoch.

Human caused global warming has had, and will continue to have a dramatic impact on the earth’s environment. Of course, the solution to reversing this destructive trend, is for humans to reduce their consumption. And one way humans can reduce their consumption - is to simply retire. By retiring, you automatically reduce your consumption, and therefore help reduce global warming.

And by choosing a Green Retirement, a new Epoch in Retirement Planning, a person can retire earlier and with less savings. Not only benefiting themselves - but also helping to save the planet.
