McCain Threatens to Raid Social Security

McCains Mind

Privatizing Social Security

In the second presidential debate, between Barack Obama and John McCain, the Arizona Senator all but promised to raid Social Security if elected.  If you think that the Bush bailout was nothing more than a raid on the Treasury, by Wall Street bankers, just wait until a McCain administration gives Wall Street Bankers the key to the peoples last remaining vault of money.

The Social Security Trust Fund, and an unknown quantity of gold in Fort Knox, is all the American people have left.

A September 19th, 2008, AP article by Glen Johnson, reports that the recent Stock and Bond Market collapse has not changed John McCain’s mind on the wisdom of privatizing Social Security.

The Republican presidential nominee says all options must be considered to stave off insolvency for the government insurance and retirement program, and top McCain advisers say that includes so-called personal retirement accounts like those President Bush pushed in 2005 but abandoned in the face of congressional opposition.

There is no reason not to believe that a McCain administration, with many of the same cast members from the Bush administration, will not repeat a Grand Theft Nation and raid the Social Security trust fund with a bogus privatization scheme. Anyone who still believes that privatization of Social Security is a good idea, is either a libertarian, or a greedy fool.

And there is no reason to believe, that a Democratic controlled Congress, will not once again roll over and give a McCain Administration access to the American peoples money.
