Green Retirement

If you are rich, with a net worth over $1 million, please do America a favor and retire!  Your retirement will help save the economy.  And helping the economy helps save your retirement.  It is in your own selfish interest to retire.

When you retire:

You Create a New Job in the Economy
You lower the unemployment rate
You increase overall wages in the economy
You increase the amount of Social Security taxes collected
You lower the trade deficit by reducing your consumption of oil
You strengthen the dollar and keep interest rates low

Your retirement creates economic growth insuring your retirement security.  If you are rich and still working, you are hurting the economy, and the long-term survival of your retirement security.  If you can afford to retire, then it is in your own self interest to retire, as soon as you possibly can.  If 2 million rich Americans decided to retire in 2009, it could reduce by more than half, the number of jobs lost since the recession began.

The effect would be a retirement stimulus for the economy, that would create jobs, and strengthen the nation’s economy.  With a million dollars, you can spend $4,000 per month for the rest of your life, without worrying about running out of money.  If you are rich, be a patriot, and retire!
